Mezzossoprano

Kristīne Matvejeva, a mezzo-soprano from Latvia, is finishing her studies in the Konzertexamen opera program at the Hamburg Music and Theatre Academy. Recently Kristīne has made her debut as Madame de Croissy in Poulenc’s “Dialogues of the Carmelites”, as Carmen in Bizet’s „Carmen“ and actively participates in new music and chamber opera projects in the city of Hamburg and Riga. Her artistic path is closely connected to both Hamburg’s vibrant music scene and her hometown Riga, where she has performed at the Elbphilharmonie and the Latvian National Opera and Ballet.
